The Director, CRI being the technical and administrative Head of the Institute has been delegated all the powers except the following 3 powers.
One Administrative officer (Deputation post) looks after the day to day administrative work of the Institute. One Pay &Accounts Officer (posted by CGA) is the Drawing and Disbursing Officer and in charge of Accounts, Cost Accounts and Budget. Stores Officer is in charge of procurement and maintenance of the central warehouse of the Institute. All the technical sections/ divisions are headed by the technical officers of the Institute who are responsible for all the technical and administrative work of the departments/ sections under their control
